Kathleen Marie O'Brien (nee Murphy) was born in Boston to Irish immigrant parents. She met Patrick at an Irish dance in 1949 and they were married within the year.
Kathleen was the glue that held the O'Brien family together. She raised six children, managed the household accounts, and still found time to volunteer at the church and bake for every school event.
Her soda bread was legendary, and her hugs could cure anything. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
